Midtown offers a blend of dining, cultural attractions and nightlife in an urban setting with the comfort of an increasingly residential area. Known as the heart of the arts in Atlanta, Midtown houses the Atlanta Botanical Garden (a hidden gem, offering stunning views of the Atlanta skyline and a glimpse of the world's rarest orchids), Piedmont Park, the Woodruff Arts Center, and the Fox Theater. The Margaret Mitchell House, where she wrote "Gone with the Wind," is also in Midtown.

Centennial Olympic Park hosts several free events, including Wednesday Wind Down with live music and daily shows at the Fountain of Rings the world's largest interactive fountain, which - four times a day at 12:30 pm, 3:30 pm, 6:30 pm, and 9:00 pm - is choreographed to songs such as Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture and The Beatles' Twist and Shout. Martin Luther King Jr. Historic Site includes tours of Dr. King's birth home, Ebenezer Baptist Church, his final resting place, and the Visitor Center exhibiting civil rights memorabilia. In Midtown, Flicks on 5th showcases recent motion pictures at Technology Square on Wednesday nights in July.
